Adventure Training Award Badge

  1. The Adventure Training Award (ATA) badge is worn by eligible cadets, and by those ACS who were awarded the ATA when they were a cadet.

  2. The ATA Badge is a gilt metal badge with the Torch of Learning from the AAC insignia centrally placed behind a boomerang that bears the word 'ADVENTURE'.

Adventure Training Award Badge

  1. The five (5) cm ATA Badge is worn with the lower tip of the badge positioned centrally one (1) cm above the upper edge of the left pocket flap, by eligible:

    1. Cadets ­ on all general duty (including DPCU) and ceremonial (including DPCU) orders of dress; and

    2. ACS ­ on all general duty (except DPCU) and ceremonial (including DPCU) orders of dress.

  2. The miniature 2.5 cm ATA Badge is worn by eligible cadets and ACS on Mess Dress White Jacket or Mess Dress Army, with the lower tip of the badge positioned

centrally one (1) cm above the AAC collar insignia on the left lapel.

  1. If other recognised awards (eg. medals) are worn, the appropriate ATA Badge is worn one (1) cm above those awards.

  2. The ATA Badge is not worn on sweaters, raincoats or field dress.

  3. Cloth patches of the ATA Badge are not to be worn.
